Balance scales are easy to make and easy to use. Make your own to compare the weight of small items around the house. Are four quarters heavier or lighter than four nickels? Are six gumballs heavier or lighter than six peanuts?

Our Board
The Friends of National Braille Press is a valued part of the NBP family supporting our work for braille and tactile literacy. Friends are designated by our Trustees, and recognized at NBP's Annual Meeting each June. The role of each Friend is to be an NBP ambassador, and an advocate for our work through networking and corporate introductions to broaden our reach, and to help strengthen NBP's community.

Play Charades
You or your child have probably played charades. In a traditional game of charades, one person draws a word, for example, "angry." Without talking, that person acts out the word shaking a fist, stomping, growling any actions that seem angry. Eventually, someone in the group guesses correctly.
