My 2 year old son loves this book. When we got this one in the mail and I tried to start reading it. I expected him to take it away and do as always and just want to look. But he didn't. He listened! Now every night I have to read this book - it replaced 'Goodnight Moon!' It's like a light bulb went off about Momma being very busy because he now has a new brother, and now he understands that Mommy still loves her Llama Llama.

My 20 month old son loves this book and we discuss why he might be afraid in the dark and if it is a rational fear and how to appropriately deal with those fears. As with any book, this book provides an opportunity to discuss with your child if the behavior of the characters is appropriate and solutions that may work better.
