[NBP web-reskin] Question on the Camp

Thanks Ethan,

When the Camp is updated with new source code, does it also deploy to
the web site folders? Or is the Camp itself the web site folders.

Sorry if this information is available in the Camp documentation,
sometimes it's quicker to ask a question than to dig through the docs.

Steve, I was just digging out of my inbox pile-up and found that I
missed this when you sent it. Sorry about that.

We generally find camps to be most effective when working with a login
shell via SSH, using an editor (Vim or Emacs) in that shell on whatever
files we need to manipulate.

However, if you use something like SCP, you can securely transfer files
in a manner similar to FTP. If you're using a Windows machine, WinSCP
would get you what you need; it's like a standard GUI file transfer app,
but it uses SCP protocol instead of the (not particularly secure) FTP.

As for the file editing itself, I would recommend against using any
WYSIWYG editor for manipulating the template files; most WYSIWYG editors
tend to result in pretty unpleasant markup (in my experience) that make
for more trouble than its worth when trying to actually templatize the
stuff. So we tend to use pretty serious text editors (the
aforementioned Vim or Emacs). I would recommend something like that
over something limited like Notepad or whatever.

I've given Edie the info she needs so she should be able to pass that
along.

Thanks.
