Hi Steve:

1. The homepage content will be ready prior to going live.

2. There should be a fourth image that appears under the Alphabet Card
image, the CBI image (Learn about the Center for Braille Innovation).

3. For an example of how we currently display video, go to
http://www.nbp.org/ic/nbp/readbooks/index and click on "A link to your
child's future (watch video)" or go to
http://www.nbp.org/ic/nbp/braille/louisbrailleprizewinner.html and click on
the image of the woman or click on the link "Click here to load the Talking
Tactile.."  The videos were set up with accessibility in mind, not the site
search.  If you have a better approach, by all means let's try it out.

For the homepage content, what would you like delivered at the time of
completion? If NBP will be updating this page prior to going live then we
don't need it.  Please let your QA people know either way.

 

The three images I am referring to are the (1) alphabet card, (2) the one
with the little girl holding her book, and (3) the one that shows a persons
hands under video highlights.

 

Video Question:

 

Can we use use the image "the one that shows a persons hands" under video
highlights and then have the Site Visitor click on it to start up the video
file that you mentioned:  htdocs/nbp/media/cbivideo.swf 

 

Also, is there an example that NBP would like us to use, on the current
site, that will show us the playing of a video? Maybe something that
Endpoint created using Interchange? (just trying to stay within the site
standards here.)

Second please read this:

 

I Need to know where to put the images for the Menu and Footer. I put
twitter.jpg and facebook.jpg in images/home, added to git, and pushed them
up. These are used in the Footer. The images for the menu are in the images
directory. 

The images that are specific to the Home page (rotating image, donation,
alphabet cards, facebook, etc) belong in image/home. The image that replaces
the rotating image when a menu option is selected can go in the image
directory for the menu option (image/business) or if programmatically it
makes more sense to have an image/secondary folder for these images I'm fine
with that.

 

Added a new directory to git, images/technology. Added
images/technology/technology.jpg to git. Then pushed it all up.  How does
this work for you? This is the image that is not used in the Wireframe, it
is for the future. That's fine.

 

I still need to add some templates and the home page to the git.

 

The page is getting closer.  I know there are problems with the page. It
looks better with each edit.

 

I did not add all of the additional text yet. Using the Final 10/2009
Wireframe, I added to what Richard created in the first column. If the NBP
Content Team has it ready, I can drop it in.  This content will be dynamic
so what we give you today won't be appropriate two-three months from now.
Can you continue to use what you have or is it necessary for you to have
more current content?

 

The homepage is making use of three images that Richard created/used in the
first POC in Sept. The video does not open up a video file.

 <http://29.camp.nbp.temphost.net:9029/ic/nbp/index.html>  Is Richard using
these images instead of the ones we provided (located in the
/productionfiles/images/homepage/rotate_img1,2,3 as place holders until we
get better images of better quantity?  There is a video in
htdocs/nbp/media/cbivideo.swf that you can use.
