Here is another maths example using the word indicator. This is an =
extract from a book on probability. There is the function "Pr" and the =
variable name "SE" (meaning "Standard Error"), which are distinguished =
in the print from normal algebraic letters, etc. The word indicator =
method makes this explicit, e.g. we also have the algebraic letter "E" =
which needs to be distinct from the "E" in "SE".
I have probably bent our rules a bit and brailled cases such as "n =3D =
14" without using the grade 1 passage mode; maybe you would prefer it =
the "long" way for uniformity? (I used the latter method to start with, =
then changed my mind.)
I think the example turns out exactly the same following the spacing =
method rather than the word indicator method. But using the latter, =
there is ambiguity, of course, e.g. "SE" is no longer a single item, and =
the E could be read as the algebraic letter E. Similarly, you might not =
pick up the function "Pr".
Would anyone like the print image file as before?
