[UEB Maths] motion to accept Section 1

I'm moving the voting deadline forward to Friday 18 March. Bruce has had
e-mail problems and Stephen's address had fallen off the list so they will
both want to catch up on the discussion and may want to suggest other
amendments. 
If anyone is e-mailing the group, could they include Stephen's address as
well for now.

I have had a request to extend the voting deadline on this one, and I
suspect other people are also busy as there have been no votes cast as

I would like to move that:
this focus group forwards the rewrite of Section 1, as attached, to the
Rules Committee. 

Voting deadline Friday 25 February 2005 please. Amendments are still
possible as I could restate the motion - I am aware that Bruce or
Stephen may still wish to comment, but I would like to stick to the
deadline if we can. I have attached Section 1 as a Word file, with the
changes in parts 1.2 and 1.4 highlighted. I have put in Helen's
corrections, split an "of the" in 1.4.5, and made it clearer whether the
format of each example is paragraph or "set apart".

I would like to start work on a new section in parallel with this voting
period, but will send that in a separate message.
