Have You Filled a Bucket Today?
The book is one of the highest-ranking (sales-wise) children's book on Amazon right now. It basically uses the metaphor of "filling a bucket" to convey the simple lesson of "doing onto others as you would want done to you." It reminds kids that they have the ability to "fill someone up" by being or saying something nice, or just the opposite. Kids find the repetitious metaphor easy to understand and employ. Schools have embraced this idea to communicate respect and responsibility toward others, and the book is used in anti-bullying campaigns in many school districts. It's won 7 children's book awards.
