What is Adaptive Technology? Adaptive technology (sometimes called assistive technology) is a fancy term for any equipment or device that helps blind students learn, write, communicate, or get around better. Anything from a simple cane to a super-duper braille computer with a refreshable display can be considered adaptive technology.
