From a mother of a blind child in regards to NBP's ReadBooks! Program
I just wanted to take a quick second to tell you how much better I feel since receiving my literacy bag. It was almost a sigh of relief after reading the books that were included. It has answered a number of questions for me and has given me the confidence that I need to know that I can help my blind son to read. The book Just Enough To Know Better is absolutely perfect. You constantly question what you need to know and what you are capable of learning and that book hit the nail on the head. I also was pleased to see the tactile book which I didn't even know existed as well as the braille book that has the writing as well. My son may only be 18 months old, but since getting the bag and exposing him to the books it is amazing how he has already, on his own, started running his fingers across the braille. I am happy that I will be able to help him.
