Recent studies about the long-term effects of hormone replacement therapy are contradictory at best. For the past several years, we have applied for and received grants from NAMS (North American Menopause Society) to transcribe into braille their informative guide on menopause. Every time they update the information, we do too. Now we have just transcribed the latest edition, published in October 2006. NAMS is an independent consumer group offering unbiased information to women of "a certain age."
The Menopause Guidebook is the most complete and current discussion of the subject available anywhere. It contains information on perimenopause, early menopause, menopause symptoms, long-term effects of estrogen loss, and a wide variety of therapies to enhance health. This edition includes updated information based on recent scientific advances.
